Before I start; racist and abusive individuals DO NOT read any further xD

Ok, now... My suggestion is the addition of a swearing filter kind of thing. This would divert our animalistic basic behaviours into something more intellectual and positive. Also, it prevents those evil level 3 spammers with the name "oijgsodfjgskdfjg" going YOU'RE GAY! It, also encourages positive interaction between players, and we all know that cyber bullies, such as those people that hate Jew will continually get a bigger penis because intimidating people online makes you more of a man, right?

I know a large portion of players will be against this. But, before you comment, just ponder it. Think about what could happen from enforcing this filter, and what could happen if we didn't.

This is just a suggestion, so yeah, post your thoughts :].

Thanks

To be honest i think this is pointless, people who get annoyed over software and start insulting people are pathetic, i would just record it and ignore them. Then when a member of staff comes on just show it to them. Justice would be served haha. angry

I'm sorry but I really don't agree with this.
Offensive language isn't against the rules, unless used towards a member of staff.
People are bound to get in arguments, because some people are complete nobs.
That's why when I encounter such a person I'm very creative with my unstoppable chain of profanity.

Empathy, I dun agree with you! Payback muhaha...

Abusing eachother is actually against the rules AND the law... Actions that are socially unacceptable are also unacceptable online (weirdo judge in Megan Meier or something said that).

So, it's going against eachothers person liberties and their basic rights o.O

And yes, it's natural to be faced with some sort of conflict.. But, the extent can be altered... i.e "Here, have a knife and get in an argument" or or or "Here, have a kiss and get in an argument" - Different ammunition for different jobs.

But yeah.. I suppose that people should be responsible enough to be responsible for their actions o.O...
I expected this response.. *prays to god* Just one positive response please sir?

I appreciate your opinion and views on this topic, but I'm afraid I can't agree with you.
Also type ::rules in-game, the only people you're not allowed to flame are staff members...
I also very much doubt that someone would go to the law with an accusation that someone was swearing at them on the internet, they would just laugh in your face, unless it was very severe and had affected your mental stability in some way.

Well that's the thing... That was the case of that Megan girl who was then driven to suicide through the creation of a mysterious boy on myspace who then turned abusive after getting her to fall for 'him'. Why can't that happen here? o.O

My view is that if someone reacts in that way to something which isn't even THAT important, like a boyfriend they hadn't even met, then of course it's sad that they choose to take such drastic actions, but it must have been the parent's fault for not taking the right action before she did it. She must have had mental issues, and if not then it's her problem and choice if she wants to hang herself.
Obviously I'm being a little bit blunt and morbid, but I'm like that.

:O Well... what if I want to be stubborn?
NO, I'M RIGHT, YOU'RE WRONG.

But yeah, just a tiny bit blunt and morbid but ehh...
